Job summary

Signature HealthCARE Roanoke Rapids is seeking a dedicated RN for full-time night shift (7pm–7am) to provide direct patient care, supervise nursing staff, and ensure safety and quality for residents. The role includes medication administration, ADL support, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in a 108-bed facility.

Required is an active RN license in the state, with CPR/BLS preferred. Prior long-term care and supervisory experience are favored, and EHR/Microsoft Office familiarity

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with ADLs and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift per policy.
• Monitor and observe residents’ status; notify physician and responsible party of changes.
• Develop and review individualized resident care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per policy.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges per procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

How you Will make a difference

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.

• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role, preferred.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment.
