Job summary

Texas Health Resources invites an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Float Pool at Plano. This full-time night-shift role offers cross-unit opportunities, self-scheduling, and growth within a Magnet-designated facility known for trauma and advanced care.

Requirements include a nursing diploma or degree, RN licensure on hire, BCLS and ACLS within timelines, CPI training, and 1–2 years of acute care or telemetry experience. Join us to help care for our diverse patient population.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting required
  • 2 years of Progressive Stepdown/Telecare experience highly preferred
  • RN license upon hire required
  • BCLS certification required and renewed quarterly
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • CPI training within 90 days of hire
  • Confidentiality and ability to work in fast-paced environment

Work hours: Full/Time Nights; (6:45P-7:15A) 3 Shifts per week; weekend and holiday requirements

Float Pool Department Highlights

Here’s What You Need
  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or
  • Associate’s degree in nursing required or
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required
  • 2 years of Progressive Stepdown, Progressive Care or Intermediate (Tele) Care experience as a Clinical Nurse highly preferred
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required and
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days required
