Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Plano, TX. Full-time night shift (7P-7A) includes a 36-hour workweek with weekend rotation and holidays.

Qualifications include a nursing diploma or ADN (BSN preferred), TX RN licensure, and required certifications such as BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Nursing OR ADN required; BSN preferred.
  • CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
  • One year of Emergency experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • RN must practice within the Texas Nurse Practice Act; act as a role model and interdisciplinary collaborator.

  • Demonstrates an appreciation of unique meanings by active listening and a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full Time Nights (7P-7A) for 36 hrs./ week. Every other weekend and 2 major, 2 minor holiday’s a year required

Here’s What You Will Need
  • Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
  • BSN preferred.
  • Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
  • One year of Emergency experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • BCLS -Basic Cardiac Life Support -Prior to providing independent patient care & maintained quarterly—required
  • ACLS-Advance Cardiac Life Support- within 90 days required
  • PALS-Pediatric Advance Life Support- within in 90 days required
  • TNCC-Trauma Nursing Core Course –within 12 months required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days Required
