Job summary

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool in PCCU/Telemetry. The role is full-time days, 36 hours weekly, with weekend and holiday requirements. Orientation at Arlington corporate office and training are required early in employment.

The RN will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing cutting-edge technology and maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • RN license in Texas required upon hire.
  • ACLS, BCLS, NRP/NRPA certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for patients in PCCU/Telemetry.
  • Respond to patient needs and monitor vital signs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver safe care.
  • Float across units as needed while maintaining quality standards.

Registered Nurse/RN Float Pool - PCCU/Telemetry Full Time Days

Work location: Texas Health Dallas - 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time, 36 hours weekly, Days 7am-7pm, including weekend and holiday requirements

Training: Must be able to attend orientation and training at the corporate office in Arlington 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire

Here’s What You Need
  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing required or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year of Progressive Care Cardiac Unit, Telemetry, or Med Surg experience preferred
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire and
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly and
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire and
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program for staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire and
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program For staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire
