**Registered Nurse (RN II) – Float Pool**

_Fast-paced, high volume Float Pool Department is looking for top skilled nurses._ _Is that you?_

**Work location:** Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road

**Work hours:** Full Time, 36 hours per week; Variable Nights; 6:45 pm – 7:15 am; 3 shifts per week including weekend and holiday’s

**Here’s What You Need**

+ Nursing Diploma required or

+ Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or

+ BSN preferred

+ One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program

+ 2 years of Progressive Stepdown, Progressive Care or Intermediate (Tele) Care experience as a Clinical Nurse highly preferred.

+ RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care

**What You Will Do**

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

+ Assesses the patient

+ Plans the care of the patient

+ Intervenes as appropriate

+ Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

+ Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care

+ Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

+ Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
