Essentia Health is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota to support Medical Unit, Med/Surg, IMC/ICU, and Emergency Department. 60 hours per pay period with rotating 12-hour shifts, including day/night rotations and every third weekend.

The role requires BSN or ADN and current state nursing licensure, with BCLS within one month and ACLS within one year. Eligible for hiring incentive and comprehensive benefits.

Job Description: Become part of Essentia’s accomplished team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota, where 465 lakes provide endless options for water sports and recreation. These cities, 125 miles north of Minneapolis, are at the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area, one of the state’s top vacation destinations.

Education Qualifications:

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.

• Lead Patient Care: Organize and deliver comprehensive care by managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Guide and Delegate: Act as a team leader by delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on their licensure, training, and role specifications.

Our Float Pool Registered Nurses (RNs) are crucial for:

• Adaptability: Floating RNs work in multiple areas of the hospital, covering shifts and providing care wherever there is a need, whether in medical-surgical units, emergency departments, or specialized care areas.
• Flexibility: This role requires the ability to adapt quickly to different patient populations and clinical settings, ensuring seamless care and support across the hospital.
• Support: Float pool RNs help manage patient care needs during peak times, staff shortages, or special circumstances, contributing to overall operational efficiency and high-quality patient outcomes.
• Skill Variety: Exposure to diverse clinical environments allows float pool RNs to enhance their skills and experience in various specialties, making them valuable assets to the entire healthcare team.

Units RNs will Float to: Medical Unit, Med/Surg Unit, IMC/ICU, Emergency Department.

This position will work the following: 60 hours per pay period Every Third Weekend Rotating 12 Hour Shifts Day Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM
