OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support surgical procedures under the surgeon's direction. The RNFA collaborates with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care and maintains nursing standards.
Required qualifications include an associate degree in nursing, Illinois RN license, CNOR or RNFA program, and BLS; two years of OR experience; strong communication and computer skills.

Pay range for this position is $45.34 - $63.23/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a first assistant for surgical procedures. They are responsible for the care of the patient under the direction of the surgeon. They collaborate with the surgeon and surgical team to create effective patient care plans for our surgical patients. While in the role of RNFA, the RNFA does not function concurrently as the scrub nurse. The RNFA provides leadership by working cooperatively with all of the medical center staff and works to maintain standards of professional nursing practice. This position reports to the OR clinical manager. The RN First Assistant (RNFA) practices in accordance with applicable regulatory standards, organizational policy, and performs all duties within the scope of RN licensure and education.
