The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce seeks an experienced RNFA to assist surgeons during surgery phases. This role involves patient assessment, documentation, and ensuring optimal care practices. Ideal candidates must have an accredited nursing education, relevant certifications, and at least three years of experience.
Key responsibilities include implementing surgical procedures, evaluating patient care plans, and leading nursing processes. A $10,000 sign-on bonus for RNFA and $5,000 for CSTFA is available.
The RNFA practices in collaboration with and at the direction of the surgeon during the intraoperative phase where behaviors may include handling tissue, providing exposure, using instruments, suturing and providing hemostasis. The activities included in first assisting are further refinements of perioperative nursing practice. May serve in the role as scrub or circulator as necessary.
Education Level: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Graduate of an accredited program in surgical assisting that includes didactic instruction and supervised clinical learning activities or documented on the job training.
Certification/Licensure: Illinois licensed or eligible. CPR certification required. ACLS preferred or must be completed within one year. CNOR Required. CRNFA preferred.
Experience Requirements: Minimum three years scrub/circulator experience.
