Role:

The Registered Nurse (RN) First Assist provides advanced perioperative care as a collaborative team member during surgical procedures, working alongside surgeons in the operating room.

• Responsibilities: Deliver intraoperative patient care, perform preoperative assessments, analyze data to determine nursing diagnoses, and develop individualized care plans. Monitor patient responses, administer medications, evaluate progress, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Collaborate with the surgical team, communicate patient outcomes, and participate in professional development and ethical practice. Provide patient and family education and advocate for perioperative safety.
• Qualifications: Requires an RN license, with 2-5 years of experience. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, CNOR, and Certified First Assistant credentials. A BSN is preferred but not mandatory.
