RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and document accurately in EPIC EMR.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, BLS, and ER experience, with BSN preferred and CEN certification a plus. Work hours are day shifts, 7:00 am–7:30 pm, at 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Two years of nursing and/or ER nursing experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; CEN certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely, well-coordinated care decisions.

With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32 bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department.

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. Two years of nursing and/or ER nursing experience preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is the following certification - CEN and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. In this position, you will work 7a-7:30p at 37.5 hours per week, every other weekend, and rotating holidays.
