Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to assess patients, plan and deliver care, and document outcomes in a busy California ER. You will work evenings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.

Required CA RN license, ACLS and PALS; MICN within 2 years; excellent communication and patient-service skills; prior ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

Valid California RN license and appropriate certifications.
Experience in emergency department care or acute settings preferred.
Strong communication and patient-centered care skills.

Responsibilities

Assess patient condition and formulate a care plan using nursing processes.
Document care activities to maintain accurate medical records.
Collaborate with the healthcare team while adhering to protocols and regulations.

Department: Emergency Room

Accountable for utilizing the nursing process to assess patient condition, formulate an appropriate plan of care and communicate the results to other members of the healthcare team. Generates written documentation of patient care activities to ensure an accurate record of patients' medical treatment and response. Supports defined organizational goals and objectives. Ensures universal precautions and departmental protocols are adhered to at all times. Meets core measures and follows governmental regulations. Initiates Nursing guidelines. Requires current State of California RN license, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, and Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) Certification within 2 years of hire. Performs other duties as required. Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills.
