Job summary

Qualifications

• ADN is required and a valid nursing license.
• OK or Multistate RN license is required.
• BLS certification must be current or obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days (experienced or transfer) or 6 months for new to specialty.
• ENPC or PALS certification required within 90 days (experienced) or 6 months for new to specialty.
• TNCC certification required within 1 year for experienced or 24 months for new to specialty.
• NIHSS certification required within 90 days (experienced) or 6 months for new to specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care per HHS standards to deliver quality patient care.
• Provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate growth and development awareness.
• Assess patient data to identify needs across age groups and plan care accordingly.
• Develop, modify and implement the plan of care following Patient Care policies.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act rules and regulations.

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Job Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current valid OK or Multi-stateRN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS – Experienced Hire or Transfer must obtain 90 days from hire or transfer. New Grad or New to Specialty must obtain in 6 months from hire or transfer
• ENPC or PALS – Experienced Hire or Transfer must obtain 90 days from hire or transfer. New Grad or New to Specialty must obtain in 6 months from hire or transfer
• TNCC - Experienced Hire or Transfer must obtain 1 year from hire or transfer. New Grad or New to Specialty must obtain in 24 months from hire or transfer
• NIHSS – Experienced Hire or Transfer must obtain 90 days from hire or transfer. New Grad or New to Specialty must obtain in 6 months from hire or transfer
