Job summary

• Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering a variety of services for patients of all ages in the Cushing, Oklahoma area. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. We also offer inpatient behavioral health care to adults experiencing amental health crisis by offering a fully staffed team of licensed professionals, personalized treatment plans and continued support after being discharged.

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
• Supervise and monitor LPNs as needed.

Job Requirements:

• ADN or BSN
• A minimum of 1 year ER experience
• Oklahoma or applicable Multi-State RN license (upon hire)
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS (within 30 days of hire)
• PALS (within 30 days of hire)
