Job summary

Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is seeking a night shift, full-time Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Harker Heights, TX. The role involves planning and delivering direct and indirect patient care, coordinating with patients and families, and communicating clinical changes to the care team.

Requirements include Texas RN licensure or multi-state recognition, completion of required triage education, and mandatory certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NRP, TNCC) within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Completion of required education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas Board of Nursing – OR – current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Completes formal triage education within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role, and prior to providing direct patient care, or ARC (American Red Cross) is required upon hire.
• Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through AHA is required upon hire.
• Active PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification is required upon hire.
• Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 18 months of hire.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) within 18 months of hire.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

• Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.
