Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky. In this role, you will perform clinical treatments, document patient care, and advocate for patients' well-being.

Job description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy (PRN)

Location: Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville, Kentucky

About the Role

The Endoscopy Unit contains two state-of-the‑art suites staffed by two gastroenterologists. It performs an average of 15 procedures per day, providing safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and other clinical treatments.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluate patients’ and families’ learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky or other compact state RN license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within 30 days of hire.
