Matrix Providers is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Medicine team serving Military Service Members and their families at Travis AFB, Fairfield, CA. This full-time, on-site role offers competitive pay ($80/hr) plus health and welfare benefits and a comprehensive package.

You will coordinate patient care with a wide range of healthcare professionals, perform exams, administer medications, and supervise colleagues while adhering to MTf policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from ACEN/CCNE-accredited program.
• Current, active RN license.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; CEN is desirable.
• Minimum of two years RN experience with at least one year in emergency department in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with a broad healthcare team.
• Ensure compliance with care standards and facility policies.
• Perform physical exams and health histories.
• Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
• Administer medications and wound care as needed.
• Direct and supervise care provided by other staff.
• Make patient assignments based on scope of practice.
• Recognize emergencies and respond promptly.
• Communicate plans to the healthcare team and families.
• Arrange referrals and specialty care as appropriate.
• Perform nursing services as ordered.
• Support research to improve practice and outcomes.

Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families on Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, CA.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly. $80/hr + H&W $5.42/hr
• Schedule: Sunday - Saturday, 24-hour coverage, 21/12-hour shifts every 42 days (may include rotating day, evening, and night shifts).

Requirements

The Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Medicine must have and meet the following:

• Degree: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS ), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS ) and Trauma Nurse Core Course ( TNCC ). Certified in Emergency Nurse (CEN) is desired.
• Experience: Minimum of two years' experience as an RN with at least one year in an emergency room, within the last year.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.

Job Summary

• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice by all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
• Perform physical exams and health histories.
• Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
• Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
• Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals.
• Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies.
• Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
• Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
• Perform nursing services as identified in the official Task Order.
• Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
