Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team serving Military Members and families at BHC Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA. The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday 0730–1600 schedule and an hourly wage of $36.00 with a $5.09 per hour health and welfare supplement.

Requirements include an active RN license in the United States and at least one year of outpatient acute care Med Surg or ambulatory care experience, plus graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Qualifications

• RN license active in a US state
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in outpatient acute care Med Surg or ambulatory care
• Graduate of accredited nursing program (ACEN/CCNE acceptable)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with standards of care and MTF policies and guidelines
• Perform physical exams and health histories
• Provide health promotions, counseling and education
• Administer medications, wound care and other interventions
• Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals
• Assign patient care based on scope of practice and staff skill level
• Recognize adverse signs and respond to emergencies
• Communicate with the healthcare team to educate patients and families
• Make referrals and arrange specialty care as appropriate
• Perform nursing services as per Task Order
• Conduct research to improve practice and patient outcomes

• Employment Status: Full-time
• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly. $36.00/hr.+ $5.09/hr. H & W.
• Schedule: Monday- Friday 0730-1600

Requirements: The Registered Nurse (RN)must have and meet the following:

• Degree/Education: graduate of a state accredited professional nursing program OR a program accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Experience: Possess a minimum of one (1) year experience as an RN working in an outpatient acute care (hospital based) Med Surge or ambulatory care setting within the last two years.
• Licensure: Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in anyone (1) of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Job Summary:

• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness

• Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals.
• Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies.
• Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
• Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
• Perform nursing services as identified in the official Task Order.
• Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
