Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA, is seeking an experienced Emergency RN for its Level 1 Trauma Center. This full-time position features late-mid shifts (1pm and 3pm starts), three 12-hour shifts, and rotation across days, evenings, and nights with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ year RN clinical experience in acute care.
• BSN required; ADN acceptable if BSN completed within 5 years of start date.
• Virginia RN license or eligibility to practice as RN.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a caring demeanor.

Job Description

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse for Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 Trauma Center! Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full Time Late Mid Shifts (start times are 1pm & 3pm); Three 12-hour shifts. With weekend, holiday and call rotations. During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.


• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.

• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: Requires a minimum of one yearof Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.


• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.


• License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.


• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer minimum (2) years ED RN experience.
