Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor Freestanding ER
Full-Time, Night shift (7pm - 7am). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

This Free-Standing Emergency Unit services the local community:
- 24-hour lab testing and radiology including X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound
- 4-5:1 patient to nurse ratio
- Emergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
- Ventilator trained nursing and EMT staff

- Experience:Requires a minimum ofone yearof Registered Nurse clinical experience
- Education:BSN or Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of completing their BSN
- Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days of employment
- License:Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- Certification:BLS from American Heart Associationrequired upon start
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention.
- Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization; can serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit.
Emergency Room Nurse Supervisor Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer candidates with 2 years plus of ED RN experience.
- Strongly prefer Charge or Supervisory experience
- Strongly prefer current ACLS and PALS
