Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse for Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma Center. This full-time night-shift position offers sign-on and relocation bonuses and orientation across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year RN experience in an acute care setting.
• BSN degree required; ADN must complete BSN within 5 years.
• RN licensed in Virginia or eligible to practice in VA.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable clinical care and care coordination for ER patients.
• Deliver patient- and family-centered care across shifts and rotations.
• Utilize standards and pathways to support patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage non-emergency overflow as needed.

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse for Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma Center! Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full Time Night Shift (7pm-7am); Three 12-hour shifts.

With weekend, holiday and call rotations. During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association
• Proficient in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
• Proficient computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer minimum (2) years ED RN experience.
• CEN/ACLS certification desired
