Texas Health Plano in Plano, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The role supports 52 beds and handles over 41,000 patient visits annually, with self-scheduling to balance life and work. Expect BSN preferred and RN licensure upon hire.

The position requires BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications within specified timeframes. The ED offers growth, a Level II Trauma designation, and a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing or ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• CLIAFE compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
• One year of clinical nurse experience or completion of RN residency.
• One year of Emergency experience preferred in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care recognizing basic human needs and patient-centered communication.
• Demonstrate listening and non-judgmental attitude to patients and families.
• Collaborate intra- and inter-disciplinarily to coordinate quality patient care.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time Nights (7P-7A) for 36 hrs./ week. Every other weekend and 2 major, 2 minor holiday's a year required

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required;

• BSN preferred.

• Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required

• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.

• One year of Emergency experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.

• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

• BCLS -Basic Cardiac Life Support -Prior to providing independent patient care & maintained quarterly-required

• ACLS-Advance Cardiac Life Support- within 90 days required

• PALS-Pediatric Advance Life Support- within 90 days required

• TNCC-Trauma Nursing Core Course -within 12 months required

• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days Required
