Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Biddeford, ME
Facility: Maine Medical Center
Schedule: Full Time

Sign-On Bonuses

MaineHealth is offering limited-time sign-on bonuses for Registered Nurses:

• New Graduates to 2 years of experience: $10,000 (full time)
• More than 2 years of experience: $20,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired into either full-time or part-time RN positions. Bonus amounts are prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.

About the Department

The Emergency Department at Biddeford/Sanford operates 24/7 across two campuses, treating over 40,000 patients annually. The environment is fast-paced, emphasizing teamwork with up to 47 beds in Biddeford and 25 in Sanford.

Role Summary

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care at MMC BID SAN manages patient care through clinical practice, leadership, and professionalism. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Current state RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS within one year for ICU, SCU, ED, PACU RNs; NRP for OB, NICU RNs
• One year of RN experience
• Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for RN assisting Laboring Women
