Job summary

Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department for PRN shifts. You will be the primary coordinator of patient care across disciplines, monitor patient conditions, document using our system, and administer medications within RN scope.

You will also coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team and educate patients and families on conditions, medications and self-care. Must hold ADN and Kentucky RN license; BCLS/ACLS required on hire.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

• You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• You will perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the Registered Nurse (RN)
• You will assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.
• You will teach patients and families to understand conditions, medications and self-care skills.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
