Job summary

Texas Health Alliance in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a part-time mid-shift (1pm–1am), 24 hours per week, 2 shifts. You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a Level III trauma center and have access to cutting-edge medical technology.

Requires an RN license, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred), and certifications (BCLS, ACLS, CPI, ENPC, TNCC, PALS) within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN - Current Registered Nurse required.
• CLIAFE: Must comply with foreign education equivalency regulations.
• BCLS, ACLS, CPI, ENPC, TNCC, PALS certifications within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or family information needs.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and during transfers.

Work hours: Part-Time - Mid Shift- 1p - 1a - 24 Hours/ Week - 2/12 hour shifts a week

Here's What You Need

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
• RN - Current Registered Nurse required
• Upon Hire - BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
• ENPC - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire required
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire
• 1-year of Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
• 2-3 years ER experience preferred.

• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
