Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department and Float Pool in Hazel Crest, IL. The role is part-time (.9 FTE) with night shifts from 7p to 7a, within a 30-bed unit.

You will support the ER team and deliver high-quality nursing care in a dynamic environment. The role requires an accredited nursing program, active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years in telemetry/critical care, Cath Lab, or PACU settings.

Where You Will Work

• The unit has 30 beds with 6 low acuity spaces
• As a nurse in this department, you will assist the ER team area only.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
• Must possess at minimum 2 years telemetry, critical care, Cath Lab, or PACU nursing experience

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
