Responsibilities

As part of the region’s largest health system, you will join a collaborativePerioperative Servicesteamthatsupports a wide range of high‑acuity surgical specialties, including trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, gynecology, vascular access, oral and maxillofacialsurgeryand general surgery. The RN Educator, Perioperative Services plays a critical role in supporting staff across Pre‑Operative Education, Short Stay and Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit, ensuring safe, consistent, and evidence‑based perioperative care.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) OR other healthcare-related Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience

• 5 years of experience in surgical and/or perioperative nursing, with demonstrated competence in various surgical specialties required
• Experience in patient and staff education development and implementation, quality improvement, program development and professional development required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Additional unit specific requirements required
