Responsibilities

1. Standards of Practice: Follow ANA standards of nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, coordination, health teaching, and evaluation.
2. Standards of Professional Performance: Uphold ethical practice, cultural competence, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, ongoing education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, resource utilization, and environmental health.

Qualifications

Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Current BCLS certification required within one month of hire.

Experience: All RNs are encouraged to advance through our SPIRE clinical program.

Licensure: Must be licensed and registered in Connecticut. Specialty certifications are highly encouraged.

Physical Demands: Prolonged standing, walking, visual, auditory, and tactile use. Exposure to infectious diseases, physical, mental, and emotional stress, and end-of-life situations. Ability to assist with patients weighing 5 to 300 pounds.
