Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a per diem Night Shift RN for Labor & Delivery at Sharon Hospital. You will provide direct patient care, assess needs, and collaborate with physicians on fetal monitoring and diagnostics.

Minimum 1 year nursing experience with L&D preferred. Requires CT RN licensure, BLS; NRP/ACLS within 6 months, STABLE within 6 months; C-EFM preferred. Night shifts, per diem, at Sharon Hospital in CT.

Qualifications

• CT RN licensure required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; 1 year RN Labor and Delivery preferred.
• BLS certification required; NRP and ACLS within six months of hire.
• STABLE Neonatal Certification within six months of hire; C-EFM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery with appropriate supervision.
• Assess and plan individualized patient care; communicate changes to physicians.
• Monitor fetal status and diagnostic results; respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Participate in performance improvement activities; perform general nursing duties in Maternal Child Health.
• Shift: Per Diem Night, 6:45pm–7:15am.

Job Summary:

Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities. Hours : Per Diem Night Work Shift: 6:45pm - 7:15am

Required:

• CT Registered Nurse Licensure. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience. One year of RN Labor and Delivery experience (preferred). BLS certification required. Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire. Successful completion of STABLE Neonatal Program within six months of hire. Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred
