Job summary

Northwell Health's Sharon Hospital in Connecticut seeks a Labor & Delivery registered nurse for a full-time role. You will provide direct patient care, assess and plan individualized care, and communicate with physicians regarding fetal monitoring and diagnostics.

Shift is 6:45pm–7:15am, every other weekend, with on-call rotation. Requirements include CT RN licensure, BLS, and 1 year of nursing experience (prefer RN Labor & Delivery).

Qualifications

• CT Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience with RN Labor and Delivery preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP and ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• STABLE Neonatal Program completion within six months of hire.
• Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting.
• Assess and plan individualized patient care and communicate with physicians about fetal monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and perform nursing duties with supervision.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.

Required:

Job Summary:

Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities.
