Job summary

Northwell Health’s Sharon Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a per diem Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care overnight. You will monitor fetal status, assess patients, and collaborate with physicians to respond to evolving clinical conditions.

The role requires CT RN licensure, BLS, and a minimum of one year in nursing; NRP/ACLS and STABLE within six months are preferred. Night shifts run 6:45pm–7:15am and the site offers a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• CT RN licensure required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• RN Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP and ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• STABLE Neonatal Program completion within six months of hire.
• Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred.

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Required

• CTRegistered Nurse Licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• One year of RN Labor and Delivery experience (preferred).
• BLS certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
• Successful completion of STABLE Neonatal Program within six months of hire.
• Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred.
