About This Role

Adventist Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for their Observation Unit. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to providing compassionate care and advancing their nursing skills.

Highlights

• Pay: $37.00 - $55.00
• Location: Silver Spring, MD
• Facility: White Oak Medical Center
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (36 hours/week, three 12-hour shifts)

What You’ll Do

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly while delegating non-nursing duties.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Licenses & Certifications

• Current Maryland State nursing license

• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
