About This Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department at Adventist Healthcare will provide patient-centered care, educate patients and families, and support the nursing team while adhering to professional standards and practices.

What You'll Do
- Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
- Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
- Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
- Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
- Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
- Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
- Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
- Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
Requirements
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Licenses & Certifications:
- Current Maryland State nursing license
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
