Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our night shift team. This full-time role includes rotating weekends and self scheduling, with a $20,000 bonus tied to a two-year commitment.

You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, document care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the care team to coordinate transfers and discharges. A Kentucky RN license and BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Kentucky RN license or multistate license.

Responsibilities

• Plan of care interventions including medications, specimens, treatments.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to care team.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Coordinate transfers, discharges and referrals with the team.
• Provide age-appropriate education to patients and families.
• Advocate for patient well-being and safety.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintain regular attendance and flexibility as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How You’ll Contribute

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education

Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
