Job summary

MemorialCare Medical Group in Lakewood, CA is seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine practice. This full-time role offers an outpatient schedule, with 8:00 am–5:00 pm hours and no after-hours call.

You will perform histories and exams, provide prenatal care, implant contraception, and interpret labs, working with Epic EMR within a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Women’s Health or related NP/PA experience; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year obstetrics experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred
• California NP or PA licensure (furnishing where applicable) and current licensure as NP/PA
• Board certification in Women’s Health is preferred
• Current BLS certification
• NPI and DEA certifications held

Responsibilities

• See new OB patients and provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy.
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
• Implant contraception (e.g., IUD placement, Nexplanon, etc.).
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Average 15 to 21 patients per day.
• Outpatient practice within MemorialCare Medical Group in Lakewood, CA

Base Salary Range*:$126,000 to $158,000

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred

Education & Licensure

• California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing licensure or California Physician Assistant license
• Current, active, unrestricted licensure as an NP or PA
• Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board certification in Women’s Health (Preferred)
• Current BLS
• NPI and DEA
