Essentia Health’s Virginia Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in a rural community known for outdoor living and strong neighborhood spirit. This role offers 12-hour shifts with day or night rotations and opportunities for professional growth.

You will participate in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care, while meeting Joint Commission standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold active nursing licensure in the state of employment.
• BCLS certification within one month of hire.
• ACLS certification within three months of orientation.
• PALS or TNCC within one year of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegate care to other nursing personnel based on licensure and job descriptions.
• Comply with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.

Education

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Education Qualifications

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Schedule

• 48 hours per pay period
• Every Third Weekend
• Rotating 12 Hour Shifts
• Day Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM
• Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM
• Block: 43A

Qualified Candidates

• Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) and up to $10,000 (BSN)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one year of being oriented to the ED
• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
