Job summary

Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is seeking a Compliance RN to ensure documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and clinical quality across the hospice program.

The role acts as a liaison among clinical teams, Medical Directors, and the compliance department, including audits, process improvement, and adherence to CMS and CHAP standards. Hospice experience is required and MatrixCare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of hospice, home health, or quality/compliance experience.
• Strong understanding of CMS hospice regulations and CHAP accreditation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in EMR systems (MatrixCare preferred).
• Hospice experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical and compliance audits related to admissions, documentation, and ongoing care.
• Review and verify records for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate audit findings, request corrections, and support staff education as needed.
• Assist with preparation for CHAP surveys and internal/external surveys.
• Contribute to quality initiatives and QAPI projects through data collection and reporting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to maintain compliance and ensure best practices.
• Support ongoing process improvements to strengthen documentation quality and operational efficiency.
• Shadow visits to support accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance charting.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Clinical Services.
