Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a PRN RN for a Gynecology/Family Medicine clinic in Denver, CO. The role focuses on complex gynecologic conditions, excluding obstetrics, and requires strong nursing skills and prior clinic experience.

You will assess patients’ needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include IVs, wound care, education, and coordinating high-risk patient care with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with RN license (Required)
• BLS/CPR certification (Required)
• 1+ medical office experience preferred
• Experience in Gynecology or Family Medicine/Primary Care (Required)

Job Description:

PRN RN clinic position. Must have prior Gynecology or Family Medicine/Primary Care experience. This role does not involve Obstetrics; the clinical focus is on complex Gynecology cases, including conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, and related gynecologic disorders.

Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.

Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.

Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.

Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.

Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.

Encourages patient engagement in healthcare through motivational interviewing, self-management protocols, and teach-back methodology.

Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.

Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.

Other duties as assigned.

Coordinates and implements group visits for identified high-risk patient populations.

Aids in the care transition of high-risk patients, including medication reconciliation and coordination of services.

Contributes to continuous process improvement by actively participating in patient experience and satisfaction initiatives.
