Job summary

AdventHealth Denver is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our medical‑surgical team. You will assess patients, develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, administer medications, and monitor progress to ensure optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical‑surgical experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in EMR charting. We offer day shifts, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year medical‑surgical experience.
  • 1+ year surgery experience preferred.

Job Description
  • Assess patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Document patient care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
  • Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal skill set, demonstrating compassion and respect to patients and family undergoing stressful procedures and treatments.
