Job description

Registered Nurse II – Cecil Campus Float Pool (Weekend)

Part‑time, 24 hours weekly (7:00p.m.–7:30a.m. shift), rotating weekends and holidays as per departmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a variety of units as part of the float pool.
• Deliver patient‑centered care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Advocate for patients and maintain critical thinking, problem‑solving, and compassionate care.
• Work scheduled evenings and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current, active RN license in Maryland.
• BSN required; ADN candidates must commit to completing BSN within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of acute‑care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) license required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred and must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Excellent critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and patient‑advocacy skills.
• Collaborative approach to patient care.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $41.28 – $66.05, based on experience and qualifications.
