Job summary

LifeBridge Health seeks a Registered Nurse - Float in Randallstown, MD to provide direct patient care across multiple units. As part of the float pool, you may work in Critical Care, Acute Care, Telemetry, Emergency Department, BHU, or OR to meet staffing needs.

The role requires 1-3 years of nursing experience, a Maryland RN license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS are required for certain areas. This is a full-time, weekend-inclusive day shift with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional knowledge.
• 1-3 years experience.
• Maryland RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS required in specified units.
• ACLS & PALS preferred/required depending on ED assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care per shift under supervision of the unit manager.
• Assess, plan, and implement age-appropriate care for assigned patients.
• Supervise staff to whom care is delegated and support CNO objectives.
• Work across a float pool in varied patient care groupings (ICU/Telemetry/ED/BHU/OR).

Summary

Position Summary

Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care

As a member of our float pool, associates will have the opportunity to work in a variety of challenging environments that expand your skills and knowledge base.

RNs in the float pool are assigned to work in one of the following designated patient care groupings and must be willing to work in all areas of a designated patient care grouping.

• Critical Care (ICU/ICSD)
• Acute Care (GRC/SGOR/MONC/SUBACUTE)
• Telemetry (PCU/OBS)
• Emergency Department
• BHU
• OR

Requirements

• Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor‘s degree;
• 1-3 years experience
• Maryland Registered Nurse License
• American Heart Association BLS Certification
• Specialty certification preferred
• BLS & ACLS Required - Critical Care/Telemetry
• BLS Required - BHU/OR/Acute Care
