Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the CDU on a part-time basis. The role runs 7p–7a with rotating weekends in a 0.6 FTE schedule, serving a 12-bed observation unit at Lutheran General Hospital.

You will provide and coordinate patient care using the nursing process, ensuring safety and quality while collaborating with the care team to determine the next level of care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferable.

Where You Will Work:

Join the CDU Unit at Magnet designated Lutheran General Hospital. CDU teammates work on a 12-bed observation unit, providing care to adult patients requiring medical or procedural workup, helping determine next level of care.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferable

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
