Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Adult Emergency Department on a 20-hour-per-pay-period night shift. The unit provides nursing care to patients needing emergency services in a Level 1 Trauma Medical Center.

Requirements include a nursing degree from an accredited program, an RN license for Illinois, BLS, ACLS (PALS within 3 months), and a minimum of 1 year in Emergency Nursing.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the practicing state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS; PALS to be obtained within 3 months of start date.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in Emergency Nursing.

Registry- 20 hours per pay period on Night Shift

Where You Will Work:

45 bed unit that provides nursing care to patient population needing emergency services. Lutheran General is a Level 1 Trauma Medical Center with magnet designation.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS; PALS to be obtained within 3 months of start date

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in Emergency Nursing

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
