Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia, is hiring an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for the full-time night shift. This in-person role requires current RN licensure and a nursing degree from an accredited program, plus certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS within specified timelines.

You will work within a highly skilled ICU team delivering critical care, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring while coordinating with physicians and care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license is required.
• An associate or bachelor degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred; new grads welcome and supported by residency.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.

The ICU team consists of highly skilled critical care nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary support staff dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Services include hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, cardiac drips, emergency response stabilization, and post-intensive procedural care. The unit is committed to promoting optimal patient outcomes while supporting patients and families through critical and complex healthcare situations.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse, RN who excels in this role:

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred new grads encouraged to apply and will be supported through our 1 year residency program
• ASLS certification preferred
