Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse RN Cath Lab for a PRN (as needed) role with varied schedule. The RN will provide safe, competent nursing care in the cath lab and contribute to patient-centered care standards within a high-quality acute-care setting.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited RN program, active Florida license, BLS, and unit-specific certifications (ACLS/NRP/PALS as applicable).

• Minimum of 2 years experience in an acute care setting (Med/Surg/Tele and ICU or PCU).
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) at hire.

Job Overview

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.

General Responsibilities

• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.

• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, with the ability to work in Med/Surg/Tele and either ICU or PCU.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License
• Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer:
  • All Nursing Units (except nursery): ACLS as of start date (New graduate RN's wtihin 90 days of start date)
  • Women's Center: NRP as of start date (inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days of start date)
  • ICU/PCU: NIH within 90 days of start date.
  • ER: PALS, CPI within 90 days of start date, NIH within 90 days of start date.
  • PACU: PALS as of start date (inexperienced PACU nurses within 90 days of start date.
