Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Float for night shifts on a PRN basis. The role provides safe, competent nursing care across Med/Surg/Telemetry and related units, aligning with facility policies and patient-centered care.

You will join a team of professionals within a high-quality hospital environment, requiring current Florida nursing license, BLS, ACLS as specified, and 2 years acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting (Med/Surg/Tele with ICU/PCU possible).
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• ACLS required for all units by start date; NRP for Women's Center; NIH for ICU/PCU; PALS/CPI by start date for ER/PACU.

Job Overview

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, with the ability to work in Med/Surg/Tele and either ICU or PCU.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License
• Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer:
  • All Nursing Units (except nursery): ACLS as of start date (New graduate RN's wtihin 90 days of start date)
  • Women's Center: NRP as of start date (inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days of start date)
  • ICU/PCU: NIH within 90 days of start date.
  • ER: PALS, CPI within 90 days of start date, NIH within 90 days of start date.
  • PACU: PALS as of start date (inexperienced PACU nurses within 90 days of start date.
