Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN roles in Bradenton, FL. You will provide safe, patient-centered nursing care for cath lab patients, following facility policies and standards. On-call duties complement 10-hour shifts as needed.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited RN program, hold an active Florida license, and possess BLS certification with ACLS/NRP/PALS and other required certifications upon start date.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current BLS certification at time of hire.
• Current Florida RN license (or Compact).
• ACLS and other unit-specific certifications required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients per policies and standards.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence in all interactions with patients and staff.
• Support and train Critical Care/ER RNs as needed.
• Maintain effective communication and basic computer and patient documentation skills.

Job Overview

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.

General Responsibilities

• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times
• Willing to train Critical Care/ER experienced RN
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License
• Prefer one year, full-time or 3 years, part-time experience in acute care setting.
• Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer:
• All Nursing Units (except nursery): ACLS as of start date (New graduate RN's wtihin 90 days of start date)
• Women's Center: NRP as of start date (inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days of start date)
• ICU/PCU: NIH within 90 days of start date or prior to completion of orientation - whichever is first
• ER: PALS, CPI within 90 days of start date, NIH within 90 days of start date or prior to completion of orientation - whichever is furst
• PACU: PALS as of start date (inexperienced PACU nurses within 90 days of hire or prior completion of orientation - whichever is first).
