Job summary

Trinity Health in Georgia is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Prep & Recovery Registered Nurse to provide peri-procedural care for adult patients. You will prep patients for procedures and deliver Phase I recovery, under limited supervision, while collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

The ideal candidate holds a Georgia RN license, ACLS/BLS, and experience in cardiac care or PACU/CCU. Graduation from an accredited program and refresher course within 6 months if not practiced

Qualifications

• Current Georgia RN license.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program approved by the Board.
• ACLS and BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Experience in Cardiac Care, PACU, or CCU preferred.
• Refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred in 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Prep patients for procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Provide Phase I recovery to post-procedure patients.
• Assess patients, develop and evaluate care plans, and modify as needed.

Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift

Description: 6a-6p What you will do:

• The Cardiac Cath Lab Prep & Recovery RN will prep patients for procedures as well as provide Phase I recovery to patients after their procedure.
• Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
• RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• The RN provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Georgia.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in Cardiac Care preferred or prior PACU, Critical Care. Must be BLS and ACLS certified thru the American Heart Association.
