Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center is a 537-bed teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. We care for well over 100,000 patients annually across the south shore of Long Island.

Our Cath Lab RNs manage care for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, working with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes and patient satisfaction while providing education and emotional support to patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• New York RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 1+ years in Procedural/CCU/ICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

Job Details

Our Cath Lab RN's:

• Manage overall care for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes sedation, preservation of the sterile field, ACLS management, documentation, etc.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What you'll bring:

• Passion for cardiology
• 1+ years of experience in a Procedural or Critical Care Unit (CCU, ICU, CTICU, CVICU, etc.) preferred
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)Provider Certification requiredfrom the American Heart Association,Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required

Salary Range

USD $59.61 - USD $77.49 /Hr.
