Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center in Long Island's south shore is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Cath Lab. This role includes caring for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus (half after 6 months, half after 1 year).

You will join an interdisciplinary team, ensure sterile technique, manage sedation, ACLS and documentation, and advocate for patients and families while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• 1+ year in procedural or critical care setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including sedation and sterile field preservation.

This position is eligible for a $7,500 sign on bonus, half to be paid after 6 months, half after 1 year.

Job Details

Our Cath Lab RN's

• Manage overall care for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes sedation, preservation of the sterile field, ACLS management, documentation, etc.


• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.


• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What you'll bring

• Passion for cardiology


• 1+ years of experience in a Procedural or Critical Care Unit (CCU, ICU, CTICU, CVICU, etc.) preferred


• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred


• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration


• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification required from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required

Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
