Job summary

Catholic Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Cath Lab at Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center on Long Island. The role focuses on caring for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including sedation and sterile field management.

Ideal candidates have a BSN (preferred), NY RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 1 year in CCU/ICU or similar procedural areas.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a Procedural or Critical Care Unit (CCU/ICU/CTICU/CVICU) preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.
• New York RN License & Registration required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall care for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including sedation and sterile field preservation.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for patients and families through safety interventions, education and emotional support.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab

This position is eligible for a $7,500 sign on bonus, half to be paid after 6 months, half after 1 year.

Job Details

Our Cath Lab RN's

• Manage overall care for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes sedation, preservation of the sterile field, ACLS management, documentation, etc.


• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.


• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What you'll bring

• Passion for cardiology


• 1+ years of experience in a Procedural or Critical Care Unit (CCU, ICU, CTICU, CVICU, etc.) preferred


• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred


• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration


• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification required from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required

Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.
